Thank you to everyone who completed the Brightlands Chemelot Campus Satisfaction Survey 2020.
Thanks to your feedback given last February and March in our annual Campus Survey, we were able to focus on specific areas and create a TOP 3 Priority List.
Based on your responses about the elements important to you yet which scored low on the survey, we put together a list of priorities. We will dedicate special attention to every topic in the upcoming newsletters and will update you on the most important insights and follow-up activities the campus organization is taking action on to make sure we improve our score next year.
Top three strengths:
- Document services: The inhouse creative Hub, pick-up and delivery service for mail and packages under 25 kg.
- Handyman: immediate, flexible deployability; precision work
- Sports facilities: use of ambassadors, varied offering and accessible for everyone
Top three areas for improvement:
- Cleaning
- Safety
- Welcome & Reception
- Cleaning
Cleaning is also an area with room for improvement. The feedback was from a limited number of respondents from around five buildings, with these responses coming mainly from buildings 220 and 240. The ongoing construction activities around these buildings are producing substantial pollution.
- Safety and Welcome & Reception
Based on the feedback from the Campus Satisfaction Survey, we have seen that the implementation of the new access policy, which provides entry to the campus using a QR code, has led to lower scores for reception and safety.
Plenty of work for the campus organization to do!

We have been conducting the Campus Satisfaction Survey for several years now. The results are very valuable for us as an organization.
We would like to take a brief look back at the actions we have taken in previous years in response to the results of earlier surveys:
- in 2018, we selected two areas for improvement based on the results. We added more vending machines to the facility and stepped up communication about construction activities, for example.
- in 2019, we introduced the SHE Week and the annual safety drills based on the survey results. This year’s survey results show that this is appreciated. We will continue to do this in 2020 and beyond. Another area for special attention that emerged was the insufficient capacity for holding meetings. In 2019, the number of meeting rooms was increased thanks to the opening of Brighthouse building 240 which offers ten meeting rooms on the ground floor.
Charity
For each completed questionnaire, the campus would donate 1 euro to charity, 3 charities were selected and the one with the most votes would win.
The charity who got most votes is ‘The Ocean Cleanup’! The Brightlands Campus organization has decided to double the amount that willen be given to the ‘The Ocean Cleanup’. Thanks to your participation. We will donate… €840,-!
