December is the month of celebration! Enjoying life and relaxing together with your loved ones.
Free Christmas recipes
All those festivities are even more enjoyable if you don’t have to adjust your belt on the 1st of January. Because ‘too much’ is certainly one of the dangers lurking during the holidays. We’d love to help and that’s why we’re presenting two delicious Christmas menus with plenty of vegetables. These recipes are full of nutrients, contain less calories and are also kind for your digestive system. And more importantly: they’re extremely tasty! Sounds like the perfect Christmas, doesn’t it? Hutten chefs Terri Salminen and Erik Steenbakkers developed two special Christmas menus that are not only extremely tasty, but also a healthier option.
Queen of vegetables
Before Christmas arrives, we’ll provide the necessary festive moments at work this month. We’ll regularly serve a dish featuring the queen of vegetables: the carrot. Orange carrots were grown for the first time in the 17th century. Dutch farmers cultivated them as a tribute to Prince William of Orange. Hutten’s carrots are a rare French variety and are grown on the sandy soil of Limburg. This gives them a delicious taste, a deep orange colour and a crunchy bite. The carrot is highly versatile. What about a carrot cake with nuts and chocolate cream? Or spicy carrot crisps with a crème of parsnip?
Crossing borders to Sweden
To offset all the exuberance, we’re travelling to Sweden this month. Taste the simplicity, balance and pure flavours in dishes such as trout salad and guinea fowl with sauerkraut and mushrooms. Come and taste the Swedish kitchen on the 14th of December.
Come and taste autumn in Mill’s
Come and taste autumn in espresso bar Mill’s. This month our passionate barista’s serve a Cinnamon Spice Latte for a very special price. Are you in?
