Go to Geleen to see Brightlands Lane, an exhibition of innovations from Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
Brightlands Lane is found in the Bonnefanten Art Gallery in the center of Geleen. Here the inhabitants of the city can see applications of materials that were developed at Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
Bert Kip, CEO Brightlands Chemelot Campus: “We think it’s important for people to experience what’s being developed at the campus. It’s all about developments that improve people’s daily life, making it more comfortable, healthy, and sustainable. I think it’s interesting for them to know what innovations are achieved so close to their homes.”
For instance, Brightlands Lane shows the use of Yparex in packaging of sensitive food such as meat, cheese and fish. You can see the official FIFA World Cup 2018 football, for which rubber of ARLANXEO has been used. Furthermore, sports articles of Dyneema, the world’s strongest fiber by DSM, are on display. As well as the aerodynamic VeloX bicycle, with DSM’s high-performance materials. This bike has participated in the World Human Powered Speed Challenge in the United States.
