On 10 November 2017 the Brightlands Chemelot Talent Day will take place: an interactive day during which Chemelot Industrial Park and Brightlands Chemelot Campus will present themselves to the talent of the future, together with companies and educational institutions. Students can experience whether they can and want to be part of our unique ecosystem. That is the reason why the theme ‘Are you the right material?’has been chosen for this first edition. The programme will start at 10:00 and will end at approximately 16:00. Most of the event will take place in the Center Court of the Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
Why is the event important?
Limburg aims to become an innovative and technological global player. The ambition of Chemelot Industrial Park and Brightlands Chemelot Campus is to become the most competitive and sustainable chemicals and materials site in Western Europe. To make this ambition happen there need to be enough qualified students and staff. Unfortunately, recent research shows that students and young professionals are hardly aware of the opportunities for education or the presence of companies on the campus and site.
Objective
During the Brightlands Chemelot Talent Day, MBO, HBO and academic level students from technical faculties will become acquainted with the unique ecosystem of companies, students and scientists, as well as the many educational and career opportunities. The ultimate objective is to captivate, commit and utilize young talent!
Programme
During the Brightlands Chemelot Talent Day, students will get an impression of the Chemelot Industrial Park and the Brightlands Chemelot Campus by means of several interactive parts of the programme. There will be a plenary kick-off, interactive sessions with lab tours, a Chemelot Industrial Park site tour (including a visit to the Sitech Asset Health Center), a Brightlands Campus tour, an innovation market, a jobs and internship ‘market’ and a series of ‘Meet the professional, boss, student, teacher’ talks, among other things.
Participation
Over 25 companies and institutions from the Brightlands Chemelot Campus and Chemelot Industrial Park participate in the Brightlands Chemelot Talent Day. Together we are a unique showpiece for young talent!
