Update: Construction work @ Brightlands Chemelot Campus
Various building activities are taking place at Brightlands Chemelot Campus. Some are almost a precipice, other projects have recently started.
From July until September 2020, construction work at Brightlands Chemelot Campus includes the following activities:
- Completion of the parking lot west of buildings 250 and 26
- Renovation of buildings 94 and 93
- Rehabilitation of building 002
- Demolition of building 003A
- Excavation work between buildings 001/004 and 005/006
- Extension and replacement of the technical installations in building 011
- Rehabilitation of building 030 and 031
The work has an impact on traffic flows, for motorized traffic, but also for cyclists and pedestrians.
It is prohibited to park along the entire road/street between buildings 110, 94/93, 220/240 and 250/26. Security will oversee the parking ban. Loading and unloading for buildings 220/240 and 130 is allowed at the back of these buildings. Loading and unloading for the buildings 250/260 is allowed through the logistics squares.
The parking lot west of buildings 250 and 260 will be completed at the end of July 2020. The parking lot will be accessed via a barrier at the Urmonderbaan. With the planned relocation of the Chief of Service to building 250, visitors will have to park here. Specific information on the use of and access to the parking lot will follow soon.
The northern entrance of building 5 will have limited access and space from mid-July until the end of August due to (excavation) work between buildings 001/004 and 005/006. Access to the road between buildings 003 and 006 is restricted during July because of the demolition of building 003A. The south entrance of building 004 and the north entrance of building 006 will remain accessible during the works.
The alternative traffic routes are indicated on the floor plan below.
We thank you for your understanding and keep you informed of the developments.
