Next week (week 50, December 12-19), campus access via the “Bosman” gate will be limited due to various construction works (see map).
SABIC will start constructing its new PP Pilot Plant (plot 42) at the south side of the campus. To realize this, a crane will be set up on the logistics road, south of the campus (on Chemelot Industrial Park).
As a consequence, the “Bosman” gate is accessible only for transport to a few buildings (and preferably only if absolutely required).
Furthermore, the crane will block the road on the south side of the campus along the construction site (plot 42). Simultaneously, (related to other works) the road between the buildings 82 and 110 is blocked as well as the crossroads at buildings 20/24/7.
Blocked roads are marked red on the map below.
During week 50, the access to the campus via the “Bosman” turnstile is not possible for pedestrians and bicycles. Instead, they reach the campus via the turnstile at Building 8A or via Gate 2.
Trucks for buildings 82-130/135-45/46/47-92/93/94-110-150-3 have to report to the traffic controller on road ZZ, near the railway bridge at Chemelot Industrial Park. Here authorization will be granted, depending on destination, via the “Bosman” gate (yellow arrow on the map).
During this week, trucks cannot reach the other buildings at the campus via this road and the “Bosman” gate. Instead, they reach those buildings via the Northwest truck entrance (yellow arrow on the map). A new connection between the buildings 7 and 8A allows access to the Pilot Plant Zone (green arrow on the map).
During week 50, the campus can be reached as usual by foot from parking area P2 (along Highway A2), via the turnstile.
