Now the park environment on the campus is almost finished, it’s time to provide clarity about the campus parking policy for passenger cars and vans, valid as from December 12, 2016.
We continuously monitor the need for parking areas and we make substantial investments in new parking facilities – parking garage East is currently under construction.
Eventually all parking facilities, except for parking area P2 (along Highway A2), will be located at the new U road on the campus. The rest of the campus will be traffic-calmed, i.e., these parts of the campus are only accessible for logistic traffic that needs to be there, disabled parking, and tenants with a rented (logistic) area.
The parking policy, valid as from December 12, 2016, has been elaborated in more detail for passenger cars and vans:
- The green parking permits will no longer be valid. All tenants have to park at parking area P2 or P5. This also concerns motorcycles; there is motorcycle parking on both P5 and P2
- Parking at the side of the roads is no longer allowed, except for dedicated parking spaces for services, disabled parking, and rented areas
- Parking for suppliers (cars/vans with car lettering) who deliver to or pick up at buildings is limited to 15 minutes
- Parking permits can be requested at the campus Duty Officer
- The campus organization will enforce the new campus parking policy. In case of violation of the policy the person concerned must report at the campus Duty Officer. If violation is repeated, car access will be refused for a 1-month period and the person concerned needs to park at parking area P2. Furthermore, the management of the employee will be informed and be asked to discuss the issue with the employee. In case of further repetition, the refusal of car access can be applied to a longer period.
