Hago is contracted for the cleaning of most of the buildings at the campus. Hago’s activities are based on a new principle: ‘result-driven cleaning’.
Result-driven cleaning means that during the cleaner’s daily round, the so-called ‘daily’ elements will be cleaned only if these are dirty. This concerns all possible kinds of dirt: dust, (paper) scraps, finger touches and wet dirt (coffee stains etc.). Elements that are not dirty will not be cleaned that particular day. As a result, the cleaning effort is not fixed (in hours per day), but depends on the dirt in the rooms concerned.
Examples of contracted ‘daily’ elements are:
– Desks
– Litter bins
– Chairs
– Windowsills
– Edges/ledges/pipes
– Doors
– Floors.
In short: what’s clean is clean – what’s dirty will be cleaned.
In case there’s time left during the daily cleaning, the Hago cleaner will report to you to see if additional cleaning can be done.
The following elements are not included in the result-driven cleaning:
– Inside closets
– Stripping and conserving floors
– Deep cleaning of carpets, kitchens
– Personal belongings (frames/art/etc.)
– PCs, keyboards, monitors and printers, MFC etc.
– Refrigerators, magnetrons etc.
Note: cleaners are not allowed to pick things up; they clean the surfaces that are clear of objects.
Together with Hago we will organize a meeting to provide more information about the cleaning policy, to be announced in a the Brightlands Chemelot Campus Newsletter.
In the near future we will place consoles at the campus to collect feedback from the campus residents about the quality of the service. Based on your feedback we will implement improvements.
Note: for DSM, SABIC and ARLANXEO buildings other arrangements apply.
