Recently, Sekisui S-Lec unveiled a new concept car in exhibition “Crossings” in the Center Court main hall. This model shows Sekisui’s new technologies and new design concepts.
Sekisui S-Lec is part of the Japanese company Sekisui Chemical and produces PVB interlayer film for laminated glass for the automotive and architecture market.
The company has started providing “total glass design and functional solutions”, to create a new trend for the next vehicle generation in the automotive market as well as similar solutions for the architecture market.
Sekisui’s concept car shows new wide shaded color solutions for rear windows, which will bring new possibilities for seamless design of vehicle glazing for future car models.
In model’s front door and rear quarter glass “Luminous interlayer” was implemented, which makes it possible to light up or project messages onto the glass surface thanks to Sekisui’s cutting-edge technology.
Since last year, Sekisui S-Lec established its European Research Centre at Brightlands Chemelot Campus, where it has located research and marketing functions for future technology and development. Reason why Sekisui set up its European Research Centre at the campus is to look for new idea and a new network, to create a bright future together.
