In conference room Lancelot in Center Court you will find a round table, called The HUB, similar to what Arthur’s Knight had in his ancient castle Camelot.
The Beginning
The idea of The HUB originated from a community building session initiated by Brightlands management and matured during Club Soda 24 sessions held at the campus. A group of three individuals with very different backgrounds developed the idea and the concept called The HUB was born. This concept and how to use it to build a Brightlands community was presented to Brightlands management. They embraced the concept and The HUB can now be found in conference room Lancelot in Center Court.
The Metaphore
In ancient Brittainy it was the legendary King Arthur who ruled the land together with his Knights of the Round Table. Seated at that table victories were celebrated, plans were made, strategies developed and friendship bonds strengthened. All important decisions originated from this prestigious group of knights and the place where they gathered. The HUB was created with this in mind.
The HUB idea
The idea behind The HUB is to create an iconic object where frontrunners come together, discuss ideas, really connect, and initiate or build new business. Create “Company Heroes” like the Knights of the Round Table, who inspired others to step up and share ideas and tell their stories on how they made it happen. These company heroes can be frontrunners in innovation, marketing, leadership, sales, production and research & development. The HUB is the place where it all happens. Naturally.
No need to say that these frontrunners may come from different companies. Interaction is key when it comes to community building.
The Icon
The HUB as it can be found in conference room Lancelot in Center Court is a cool looking design table where 12 frontrunners can be seated. Not at a table, but literally in the table, in the middle of the conversation. Chairs are connected in a novel way to the table, which allows one to turn the seat into its place. Being seated in The HUB gives a feeling of being embraced and connected. You are literally in the meeting, in the brainstorm, in the decision taking meeting, and so on. Or stated differently: you are embraced by the Brightlands community. The picture of The HUB shows it all.
Brightlands has chosen for a knight-like variant of The HUB. But it can be made of whatever material and The HUB will be tailored to the needs of the customer or its purpose.
Why The HUB
Storytelling becomes increasingly important in modern communication. People want to hear the true stories of how things are achieved. In this process The HUB can act as the place and the “face” where it happens. The HUB has already proven to be a popular concept. Lancelot where THE HUB is located, is fully booked from the moment it was launched. Create your own company mystique around the iconic table and make The HUB your frontrunners hotspot.
