Your safety on our roads is a shared responsibility at Brightlands Chemelot Campus! Together we need to create a safe environment. So we would like to remind you of some applicable traffic rules.
Did you know that:
- Parking at campus for residents is only allowed at the designated parking locations P2 and P5 and the garage G122-180. Students are only allowed to park their car at parking P2..
- Only tenants of the buildings G111-160 and G111-014-017-018-019 are allowed to use the parking locations near these building.
- Only visitors are allowed to park at the parking space at the Lodge to obtain their visitor pass. After doing so, they can go through Gate 2 using the orange route and park their car in the parking garage below Center Court.
- The disabled parking spaces may only be used when displaying a disabled parking pass.
- The single parking spaces near the buildings are for logistic companies and other suppliers only.
- The “green” parking passes of the Campus and the “red” Sitech parking passes, which were used in the past, are NOT valid anymore.
- Reverse parking is a common rule on the campus.
But it’s NOT compulsory at the following locations on Campus:

- The parking garages of Center Court and G122-180.
- The logistics locations and during the loading and unloading of goods.
As reverse parking is not always possible.
- We have a speed limit of 30 km/h at campus. Please respect this!
- You have to cross a speed bump at a walking pace. DO NOT avoid speed bumps! It is meant to lower your speed, not for mowing our lawns.
- Of course you give way to your colleagues using a pedestrian crossing! To make sure you see them in darkness an extra lamp post will be installed next to the pedestrian crossing near the parking location P5.
- We have a new one-way traffic system at the parking P5. Respect this for everybody’s safety.
- NO cars are allowed in the shared space zones! Only cyclists, pedestrians and vehicles of logistic companies and suppliers for the loading and unloading of goods are allowed. And of course vehicles for emergency services. All of them have to enter the shared space at walking pace speed!
- The road between Center Court (G122-200) and DSM (G122-170) building is closed for employee cars. This road is such a shared space zone, like many other roads on campus. Shared space zones on campus are zones mainly for pedestrians. Due to this road closure campus residents can only take the designated route (green on map) to parking P5 and parking garage G122-180 from now on. Once inside the parking garage follow the correct driving direction directed by the applicable traffic signs.
Other traffic updates
As a follow up of a slip and trip accident, roughness measurements conform NEN 7909 were performed in parking garage G122-180 at several levels, locations and under different measurement conditions. All measurement results were in accordance with the norm!
