At Brightlands Chemelot Campus several companies have joined forces to attract and retain new talent. A Career Center has been established to work together on developing careers at Chemelot.
One of the initiatives of the Career Center is the Chemelot Trainee Programma, a unique program that aims to develop the careers of trainees who would like to contribute to the success of the Chemelot site and of the companies based there, says Sebastiaan de Reede, Manager Chemelot Career Center. It concerns trainees with an academic background in chemical engineering, business administration or economics.
HRMoovs, a development partner for people and companies, will coach these trainees. HRMoovs which is based on Brightlands Chemelot Campus did an onboarding program for newcomers on the campus and coproduced the Brightlands Chemelot Campus App, which can be downloaded now in every app store.
Joyce and Monique of HRMoovs: “The first trainees have started. Fibrant and Sitech have recruited these talents. On July 10th a recruitment day has been scheduled in which USG, Sabic, Fibrant, OCI Nitrogen and Arlanxeo participate. In September we have scheduled another recruitment event. After that there will a an official kick-off with all trainees in October. Trainees participate in a 2-year intensive educational program aiming on personal and professional development. Additionally the trainees work on a number of assignments in various disciplines, at a number of employers at Chemelot. The trainees will also work for 3 different companies assisting with a complex task during those 2 years. Focus in the program are the motives of the trainees. They tell us something about their motivation, work attitude, preferences and values. These things have a big impact on their behaviour. Other than on personal development we also focus on team building and we have planned several educational sessions such as workshops, experience exchange and team building sessions. ”
Wouter van den Berg: “the projects make real sense! A positive image of the Campus will attract staff.”
