In the ambition to be the safest chemical site in Western Europe by 2025, the Brightlands Chemelot Campus (BCC) has contributed to the One in Safety program by improving safety in the Pilot Plants given the number of incidents over the last years and their seriousness.
The One in Safety program was started at Chemelot partly due to the findings in the Dutch Safety Board report of 2018. One recommendation and objective in the report is to strive toward more uniformity at Chemelot in maintaining a safe work environment.
New signing in ‘Campus House Style’ are installed at buildings and parking lots all over the Campus. New floor maps will follow soon, making it easier for visitors, students and (new) tenants to find their way over the Campus.
Safety has a very high priority within the Brightlands Chemelot Campus community. Therefor investments have been made in footpaths and pedestrian areas, to ensure that all Campus tenants can walk safely to and from their workplaces.
