We believe, it is important that you stay up to date with campus developments. Newsletter like these serve that objective. Although you may find too many items from us in your mailbox, we like to emphasize that we handle your e-mail address with the utmost care.
Handling your e-mail address with care means the following:
1. The fact that you work or study at Brightlands Chemelot Campus implies that you have a legitimate interest in receiving information about campus developments. For example, this information may concern safety, health, and environment. Therefore, we consider the processing of your personal data necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests.
2. We only use the data we collect from you to inform you about subjects that are somehow relevant to Brightlands Chemelot Campus, via our newsletters and invitations for events. Only occasionally, we provide information that is not directly related to the campus, but that we believe is in your interest.
3. This also ties into our way of working over the last of couple of years: informing you directly and regularly by e-mail about campus developments.
4. The only data we collect about you is your e-mail address. For clarity you may add your name, organization, and telephone number. Furthermore, you can indicate your preferences if you wish.
5. Sending e-mails is based on your preferences, for example regarding the type of mailings and invitations, and areas of interest. You can easily change your preferences any time by clicking the “update preferences” link in the footer of this mailing. By clicking this link, you can inspect what data we have collected and you can make changes if desired.
6. Data you submit to register for events and other activities will only be used to manage these events or activities. This data will be deleted no later than one month after the event or activities has taken place.
7. In case you don’t want to receive any more e-mails from us, you can easily unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the footer of this mailing – we hope you don’t do this. By the way, we also added a “subscribe” link to the footer, so you can forward our mailings to anyone whom you think should receive these mailings, following this person’s preferences.
8. Brightlands Chemelot Campus (Chemelot Campus B.V.) is responsible for data processing.
9. We only share your e-mail address with our trusted partner for producing mailings, Morres & Company. ‘Trusted’ means that we have an agreement with this thirty party, but we remain responsible for the data processing.
10. We never share your e-mail address with any other party. And believe us, we get quite a lot of requests for that. If any party has relevant information to share, we will forward this through our channels; typically, as an item in our newsletters. We’re holding back on this, particularly when the information is commercial.
11. Considering the previous points, we are compliant with the new European privacy legislation, i.e., the General Data Protection Regulation” (GDPR) per May 25, 2018.
12. Furthermore, we refer to our Privacy Policy.
13. If you have any comments or complaints about this, please contact Astrid Verberne at astrid.verberne@brightlands.com.
We hope, you will value receiving our mailings and enjoy reading them.
