In the ambition to be the safest chemical site in Western Europe by 2025, the Brightlands Chemelot Campus (BCC) has contributed to the One in Safety program by improving safety in the Pilot Plants given the number of incidents over the last years and their seriousness.
COVID-19 Guidelines for working safely at Brightlands Chemelot Campus
Following the Dutch Cabinet’s recommendations, Brightlands Chemelot Campus will update the COVID-19 rules as of September 25, 2021. Up to September 24, the following guidelines still apply:
Everyone at Brightlands Chemelot Campus must be able to enjoy working in a safe environment. It is therefore important that we do everything we can to prevent the spread of coronavirus. By keeping the appropriate distance from each other, we can support and protect each other. The following preventive measures have been implemented to ensure a safe working environment. These are based on guidelines from the Dutch central government and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). We kindly ask you to follow these rules that apply to all publicly accessible spaces at the campus. Your own employer can set additional rules within the boundaries of the rented space.
We can only work safely when we work together!
It is no longer mandatory at Brightlands Chemelot Campus to wear a face mask in the publicly accessible indoor areas and high-traffic locations (hallways, corridors, etc.) and in the publicly accessible part of the campus, being: Center Court (G122-200), the conference center on the ground floor of Brighthouse G121-240, the hall and auditorium in G122-004, and the BCC Duty Officer’s office in G121-250.
The 1.5-meter distance must always be complied with, if this is not possible, the face mask requirements remain in place.
Events and meetings:
For live events and meetings: Fewer people are allowed to sit in the meeting rooms to ensure that the sufficient distance of 1,5m can be kept. The current group capacity per room is visible in Facilitor. Please note, a maximum of 50 people are allowed in meeting room Arthur. The 1.5-meter distance must always be complied with.
In accordance with the guidelines, a maximum amount of people can have lunch at the same time.
• Fields Restaurant, ground floor: a maximum of 100* people
• Fields Restaurant, 1st floor: a maximum of 100* people
• Lunch area, 1st floor, Fields of Gold: a maximum of 50* people
• Outside terrace: a maximum of 100* people
*the 1.5-meter distance must always be complied with. The maximum available seating mentioned above may be lower as the 1.5m distance must be observed.
All other measures remain in place. Please note, your own employer can set additional rules within the boundaries of the rented space.
